Adriana Sepulveda, a Boynton Beach, Florida, dental assistant student and Colombian immigrant, recently was selected for a $5,000 scholarship and mentoring program from the Pacific Dental Services Foundation.
From the kidnapping of her father to successfully immigrating to the United States, Sepulveda has overcome obstacles to pursue her dream of a dental career. Born and raised in Bogota, she wants to follow in the footsteps of her grandfather, who ran his own dental practice during her childhood.
