Warming Centre in Belleville open all weekend

We’ll drop down to -9 tonight, but the wind chill will be at -20. The City of Belleville will be opening the warming centre tonight and tomorrow at the old Belleville Police Station located at 93 Dundas St. East. Staff will keep the warming centre open from 8 pm until 8 am. There will be no beds or meals provided. COVID-19 screening, registration, and a face mask will be required for those wishing to come in. The City has a policy in place that activates the warming centre when temperatures drop to -10 C (-15C with the windchill). Please check up on your loved ones tonight!

Belleville Warming Centre open Tonight

/ 91X FM CJLX Feb 19, 2021 10:32 AM Due to frigid weather conditions the City of Belleville will activate the overnight warming centre tonight and tomorrow night. Visitors will be screened for COVID-19 and visitors must also register upon entry. Face masks and physical distancing are required at all times due to Covid-19 protocols.  The warming centre is located at the old Belleville Police Station located at 93 Dundas St. East. Entry through the west entrance of the building is required. Temperatures must reach -10C to -15C wind-chill in order for the centre to open. Please note that this is a warming centre for  people to come in from the cold, beds and meals are not provided.
