Estimated fees in the study update have not changed and remain at $20,150 with the funding derived from Local Option Sales Tax (L.O.S.T.) in the current fiscal year. Council member, Carolyn Siemann, asked if the scope is broad enough to cover all they need to know to be well informed in ensuring safety at each crossing. Krauel says the scope includes some of the options from previous experiences. Though the options for review are unlimited, they simply could not include all of them in this scope of service.
8 Vehicles Stolen From LaFayette Auto Dealership; Chattanooga Man Arrested As 5 Vehicles Recovered Monday, March 8, 2021
Walker County Sheriff’s Office detectives are investigating a large theft at Jenkins Chrysler Jeep Dodge in LaFayette, Ga., according to Walker County Sheriff Steve Wilson.
By Monday evening, authorities began recovering some of the vehicles. Two were located in the area of the 600 block of Bella Vista Drive in Chattanooga. Chattanooga Police and Walker County detectives have been working through the evening following leads.
A Chattanooga man who was found to be driving one of the stolen vehicles was arrested and booked into the Hamilton County Jail on a felony charge.
On Wednesday evening, the residents of Carroll were invited to take part in a presentation from RDG Planning and Design on their progress in development of the Corridor of Commerce plan. Urban Developer with RDG, Charlie Cowell, provided an update of what they have learned to date through the assessment process, including the survey, listening sessions with stakeholders and an interactive map.
The general consensus is people want to see consistency along the corridor. From this feedback, RDG presented proposed opportunity sites.
