K taka: Rs 50,000 to gram panchayat for COVID management ANI 05 Jun 2021, 01:27 GMT+10 Belagavi (Karnataka) [India], June 4 (ANI): The Karnataka government on Friday approved an allocation of Rs 50,000 to every Gram Panchayat in the state from the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) released for COVID management to address local issues. We had a detailed meeting with MPs and MLAs today. In SDRF funds, Rs 2.33 crores have been released for COVID management. Every Gram Panchayath will be given Rs 50,000 to address local issues. An approval to construct 20 KL oxygen tank and 1,500 LPM oxygenator has also been given in the meeting, said Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa.

Authorities have now swung in action to seal of the village and test the residents. This incident was reported on Sunday after the horse of Maradi Mutt, a local religious institution, died. Some Mathas belonging to various castes and communities in north Karnataka region, have practice of rearing horses like some temples in Kerala rear elephants, as divine. Whenever such horse is let off by Mutt, people who live in the vicinity pray to the animal, while making offerings to it.
