Pernem (Goa) [India], May 28 (ANI): The Pernem Police has arrested one person for allegedly possessing narcotics substance, charas, on Thursday.
The person has been identified as Rajesh Bansal of 31 years of age and is a native of village Kham of Sidhi district in Madhya Pradesh. Based on reliable intelligence, the accused was traced at a premise, opposite to the Om Ganesh guest house near Sweet Lake of Arambol. On conducting a surprise raid, the narcotics drugs charas was found in his room , said Police Inspector Jivba Dalvi.

Drugs worth Rs 20,000 seized in Goa, one Bengaluru native arrested ANI | Updated: Mar 14, 2021 21:26 IST
Panaji (Goa) [India], March 14 (ANI): The Pernem Police on Sunday arrested a Bengaluru native for illegal possession of drugs and recovered charas and cannabis worth Rs 20,000.
According to police inspector Jivba Dalvi, information was received from reliable sources about the involvement of a person in drug activities at Arambol, Pernem in Goa.
The police traced the accused, Keltsang Dorjee, in Arambol and conducted a surprise raid during which narcotic drugs charas and cannabis were recovered from his possession.
The accused aged, 41, hails from Bengaluru, Karnataka.
A case under sections 20(b)(ii)(A) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered, the police informed.

Pernem (Goa) [India], December 18 (ANI): Pernem Police have arrested a native of Jammu and Kashmir for illegally possessing narcotic substance worth Rs 5,000 at a beach shack at Arambol.
The accused has been identified as Faisal Ahmed (25), native of Baramulla, Jammu Kashmir.
According to Police Inspector (PI) Jivba Dalvi, a raid was conducted on Wednesday late night at Sea Breeze Shack in Harambol after receiving the information regarding the worker of Sea Breeze Shack is involved in illegal drug activities. Charas worth Rs 5,000 was seized from the shack.
The raid was conducted under the supervision of PI Jivba Dalvi, PSI Sanjit Kandolkar, constables Ravi Mhaloji, Vinod Pednekar, Pravin Mahale and Anishkumar Poke.
