With the pass rush still a concern, anything new on Houston coming to Baltimore or is any other pass rusher (Kerrigan, Ingram, Vernon) still in play? With each passing day, the value of a pending deal should be in the Ravens favor right? Lemanuel Dawson (@LemanuelD410) May 11, 2021
Mink: The Ravens acted quickly to grab Alejandro Villanueva to fill the opening at right tackle and there were expectations that Baltimore would do the same to add a veteran free-agent pass rusher after the draft. But here we are more than week later and there s been nothing.

Do the Ravens Need Another Pass Rusher?
The Ravens took advantage of the free-agent market following the draft to address the right tackle position.
Will they do the same at pass rusher? If there is a piece of the offseason puzzle that feels incomplete, it s at edge rusher, where the Ravens re-signed Tyus Bowser and Pernell McPhee, watched Matthew Judon, Yannick Ngakoue and Jihad Ward leave as free agents and then drafted Odafe Oweh (first round) and Daelin Hayes (fifth round), The Athletic s Jeff Zrebiec wrote. In Bowser, McPhee, Oweh, Hayes and former third-round pick Jaylon Ferguson, the Ravens have a solid mix of veterans and youngsters, of guys who can set the edge or drop into coverage, of guys with pass-rush potential. What they don t appear to have is a veteran primed to register eight to 10 sacks in a season.
Ravens News 5/6: Roster Projection and more
It’s more of a tribute to what Jackson is as a dual-threat quarterback, and the diversified skill set he offers for offensive coordinator Greg Roman to deploy. It’s not as if Roman is stuck on lining up in pistol don’t forget that Jackson ran a pro-style drop back offense at Louisville rather, it’s half bulldozer, half Lamborghini, in that the forward-thinking Roman is able to use Jackson in space as both a passer and thrower while accruing the necessary carries to the 212-pound bowling ball in Dobbins to take opposing defenses’ lunch money. With 2021 selections Rashod Bateman and Tylan Wallace now in the building, a progressing, more traditional style of offense similar to Louisville could be used to further create mismatches for Baltimore’s one-of-a-kind offense, and Jackson’s all-world skill set.
Ravens News 5/4: Draft Steals and more
I doubt I’d like this class as much if it were any other team, but some of these picks just make so much sense for how the Ravens play. Cleveland is a nasty, downhill blocker in the run game; Oweh is a physical freak off the edge who might need some schematic help to get to the QB; Wade is a tough defensive back who can be a valuable blitzer. The Bateman and Wallace picks make the receiving corps deeper and both were good values for where they were drafted.
