The brother of a Colombian nun kidnapped more than four years ago in Mali told AFP Sunday he had received proof of life in an 11-line letter “in her own handwriting.”
Edgar Narvaez, brother of Gloria Cecilia Narvaez, said the letter was written in capital letters “because she always used capital letters,” ended with her signature and contained the names of their parents.
“It is now four years that I have been in captivity, and I am now in a new group of the GSIM (Group for the Support of Islam and Muslims, linked to Al-Qaeda),” she wrote, according to her brother.
