PEORIA A $1 million arrest warrant was issued for a Peoria man in connection with a 2018 fatal shooting in South Peoria.
But Peoria police will not have to look hard for Lionell Harris, 28, because he s serving a seven-year prison term at Illinois River Correctional Center in a 2019 Peoria County weapons case.
It wasn t clear when Harris would return to Peoria County to face the allegation that he shot and killed Daryl Keller in the 200 block of Sand Street on Nov. 19, 2018.
Peoria police received a call shortly after 1 p.m. that day in 2018 about a shooting at Sand Street and Percy Baker Jr. Avenue, formerly Third Street, according to Journal Star archives.
