Central Pa. man accused of raping his girlfriend’s daughter for years

A Berks County man sexually assaulted his girlfriend’s daughter for years, starting when she was 9, prosecutors said Friday while announcing his arrest.
County prosecutors said Manuel Molina-Nunez, 42, was reported to the Berks County Detective’s Office in late January 2021 for allegedly abusing his girlfriend’s now 12-year-old daughter.
The girl later told investigators specific details about the assaults, which prosecutors said started when she was 9. The incidents took place between January 2017 and October 2019 in a home in Reading, prosecutors said.

Reading man accused of sexually assaulting 8-year-old boy: District Attorney

A 75-year-old Reading man was charged this week, accused of sexually assaulting an 8-year-old boy, according to the Berks County District Attorney’s Office.
The child told investigators that he was sexually assaulted, identifying Jose M. Sosa, as the abuser, according to the DA’s office.
Although no further details of the assault were released by officials, the child did provide specific details to investigators about the assault that occurred one time inside a Reading home, according to the DA’s office.
At 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sosa surrendered to the Berks County Detective’s Office accompanied by his attorney, the office said.
A Reading man was charged Wednesday with sexually abusing a young boy, county detectives said.Â
Jose M. Sosa, 75, was charged with indecent assault, corruption of minors and endangering the welfare of children.Â
Sosa surrendered to detectives Wednesday afternoon. He was arraigned before District Judge Tonya Butler, who set Sosa s bail at $10,000 unsecured.Â
According to investigators:

The Reading Police Department received a report on Oct. 10 of a young child being sexually abused. The department referred the case to the Berks County Detectiveâs Office.
On Oct. 13, county detectives received a report from the state Childline Referral about a sexual abuse victim identified as an 8-year-old boy.
