Suspects caught with more than $7,000 in stolen kitchen appliances from King Soopers

MANITOU SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) Wednesday morning, investigators arrested two suspects and recovered more than $7,000 of stolen goods from the Park Row Lodge hotel in Manitou Springs.
The Stetson Hills Detectives, the El Paso County Sheriff s Office, and the Metropolitan Vice, Narcotics, and Intelligence Division have been working together for the past several months linking a series of shoplifts from a nearby King Soopers.
Detectives say during those robberies, several kitchen appliances were stolen, culminating in more than $7,000.
Investigators arrested Dequan Ward, 33, and Shantique Soto, 33. During the search, drugs were also found and information was recovered regarding the sale of stolen goods to nearby pawn shops.

President Museveni yesterday reportedly telephoned the widow of renowned boxer Isaac Zebra Ssenyange who was shot dead early yesterday in Bwaise, a Kampala suburb.
In the telephone conversation that is said to have lasted for about 15 minutes, the President condoled with the family and undertook to dispatch a team to investigate the killing of Ssenyage, 40.
“Yes, President promised to [help with the investigations] … but I have been told to stop discussing that,” Ms Mercy Mukankusi, the widow, said yesterday.
