Winona’s Norwegian Fjord Horse Rescue Network (12/23/2020)
Introducing the Norwegian Fjord Horse Rescue Network (NFHRN), currently located at Big Valley Ranch, Inc., in Winona. The mission of our 501(c)(3) is to secure loving homes for our beloved breed of Norwegian fjord horses. The NFHRN is a network of volunteers, run completely on donated funds. The majority of our rescues involve purchasing fjords from kill pens and auctions, evaluating their mental and physical health, giving them care and training, and then adopting them to a loving home. Our goal is to become the point of contact for Fjord owners in need, and provide the horses with the skills and care they need to become someone’s forever partner.
