A Pittsburgh-based wine and spirits concept that bills itself as Pennsylvania s first privately owned and operated spirits shop is taking to Reading Terminal Market to open its third outpost, reports the Philadelphia Business Journal. Pennsylvania Libations will launch at the historic culinary destination in early June. The shop, which specializes in selling Pennsylvania-made wine, spirits and cider, will be managed by Philly native Arthur Etchells, who founded Philadelphia Magazine’s Foobooz section.

Condé Nast Traveler has revealed its 25th edition of the Hot List, which includes the magazine s picks for the best new restaurants in the world. Philadelphia s Laser Wolf, a skewer house concept from Michael Solomonov in Kensington, made the 2021 list. Laser Wolf opened in early 2020, right before the pandemic. The restaurant serves grilled meats, veggies and fish alongside hummus and salatim (small salads, spreads and sides).

Reading Terminal Market is getting a new full-time merchant. The Pittsburgh-based wine and spirits shop, Pennsylvania Libations, will open this summer inside the market selling Pennsylvania-made wine, spirits and cider. It will be the company s third location and the first in Philly. Pennsylvania Libations is the first privately owned and operated spirits shop in the state’s history. More than 20 distilleries, wineries and cideries from across the state will sell their products through Pennsylvania Libations in the market, including Brother Monk Ciderworks, CJ Spirits and Liberty Pole Spirits, which cannot be found anywhere else in the area. Reading Terminal s Pennsylvania Libations will be open daily starting in early June.

It opens daily at 11 a.m. Facebook Share Bella Terra Vineyards was founded in 2015 by Jay and Joanna Bell with the idea of creating a space for outdoor weddings and events and supplying those events with homemade wine. But once the tasting room opened and things got rolling, they realized that the potential was grander than originally thought. By 2019, Jay and Joanna had left their “day” jobs to focus on the winery full time and added several employees, including general manager Heather Gibas and winemaker Bill King. That same year they opened a tasting room and event space, which offered wine, local craft beers and Pennsylvania-made spirits.
