This story has been updated to correct a mistake that appeared in the original version. Baptist Hospital s visitation policy does not allow any visitors. One caregiver or support person per patient can be permitted at any one time.
Starting Wednesday, the Santa Rosa Medical Center is restricting patient visitors to one immediate family member, partner or significant other who is 18 years or older from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
All individuals including patients for ancillary tests such as labs, X-rays or imaging, pulmonary function tests, electrocardiograms or outpatient surgery will need to enter through the emergency room entrance, according to a news release from the hospital issued Tuesday.

Ascension Medical Group Sacred Heart is making changes to its COVID-19 testing program. The health care system will expand testing and add 60 new COVID-19 rapid testing machines at its offices across Northwest Florida during the coming weeks
Ascension Sacred Heart administered 647 COVID-19 tests last week at its three urgent care locations, compared to the 288 COVID-19 tests two weeks ago.
The rapid test can provide results within 15 minutes, however the patient must see a health care provider before ordering the test as it is not a drive-thru test as it was at the peak of the pandemic last summer.
