It’s draft day, baby!
The 2021 NFL Draft is set to open at 8 p.m. Thursday. Over the next three days, 259 players will hear their names called and have their NFL dreams come true.
Typically, first-round picks are announced by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. But from there on out, there’s no shortage of special guests announcing a plethora of picks.
Just last year,
Miles Sanders announced the Eagles’ second-round draft pick. That got us thinking: Which Penn Stater would we want to see announce an NFL Draft pick?

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. Hannah Oleynik has been selected as the student marshal to represent the labor and employment relations major from the School of Labor and Employment Relations for the Penn State College of the Liberal Arts spring 2021 commencement. Commencement will take place at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 9, in Beaver Stadium, rain or shine. Oleynik will be escorted by Manuel Rosaldo, assistant professor of labor and employment relations.
Senior Week festivities hosted by the Alumni Association, Lion Ambassadors, and Blue & White Society.
Joined by Alumni Association CEO Paul Clifford, the Barrons invited soon-to-be-graduates and their families to celebrate seniors’ accomplishments and wish them well in their future endeavors.
“Earning your degree from Penn State is an accomplishment that you and your loved ones can take tremendous pride in,” Clifford said. “Your graduation is a significant milestone, but it’s not the end rather, just a milepost in your journey as a lifelong Penn Stater.”
Clifford then welcomed seniors to the Alumni Association’s extensive family. Per tradition, each Penn State graduate receives a complimentary one-year membership to the organization.
If you asked freshman Madison Miller to describe her first year as a Penn Stater in one word, she would tell you it’s been “unique.” But that would be an understatement at best.
As a freshman broadcast journalism major, she secured an internship with Penn State Athletics, joined CommRadio, Centre News Digest, PSNews, and the Association for Women in Sports Media (AWSM). But it isn’t just her extensive involvement that’s contributed to a crazy first year.
