A Melbourne Surf Life Saving Club has warned against digging deep holes at the beach after a teenage boy became trapped by sand at the weekend. The boy had been building sand tunnels at Point Lonsdale back beach on Victoria s Bellarine Peninsula when the structure collapsed, requiring him to be dug out and rescued by paramedics about 5.30pm on Sunday.
