The Steelers have hired Mike Sullivan to be their new quarterbacks coach.

That Mike Sullivan is still the coach of the Penguins.
This Mike Sullivan is a former QB coach with the Broncos and Giants, and is also a former offensive coordinator for the Giants (under then-head coach Ben McAdoo). He was also the OC for the Buccaneers.
A graduate of Army, Sullivan has been working the last two years with the football team at West Point.
The defending champion Kansas City Chiefs are set to square off with the Buccaneers in Super Bowl 55 on Sunday in Tampa. The Chiefs will try to become the first repeat winner since Tom Brady and the Patriots following the 2003 and ’04 seasons. Kansas City Chiefs defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo is one win away from collecting his third Super Bowl ring. And the former New York Giants defensive coordinator hopes his recent success will land him another shot at being an NFL head coach.
“I’d like to get another crack at a head-coaching job,’ Spagnuolo said, per the
. “But I will not, listen, I don’t stay up nights thinking about it. . I’m a competitor like anybody else. It didn’t go as great as we wanted to in St. Louis, except for that one year. It’s a proving ground, the NFL is the greatest proving ground of all sports. So that part of it, I’d like another shot.’
The NFL truly is special.
While nearly every facet of society and business were shutting down at one point or another due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, the NFL not only managed to get a full season in but lo and behold, here we are for Super Bowl week.
Granted, it will be a Super Bowl like none other, one that will be devoid of the usual pomp and circumstance for which the game has become known.
All that window dressing aside, there will be a game played between the Bucs and the Chiefs this Sunday in Tampa, Florida, with some fans allowed into the stands. And after there being grave doubts about there even being a Super Bowl week, we’re about to unfold what should be an exciting lead-up to the game with some of the following storylines set to take center stage.
