On Wednesday, Schnucks courtesy clerk Ben Mazur reluctantly took credit for his act of heroism last month, when he reacted without hesitation and saved a baby in a runaway grocery cart. With Mazur s colleagues at Schnucks gathered around, the mayor of Alton, Illinois, David Goins, made a surprise visit to the store and presented Mazur with a certificate proclaiming May 5 Ben Mazur Day.
