Penn State Health opens 20,000-square-foot outpatient center in former movie theater space

Penn State Health is expanding its services on the West Shore, in the Harrisburg area and in Lancaster County. But, the health system opened its latest outpatient center in its backyard.
Penn State Health Cocoa Outpatient Center opened the 20,000-square-foot outpatient center at the Cocoaplex Center at 1150 Cocoa Ave. in Derry Township.
Two internal medicine practices that were operating on the east and west side of the Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center campus, as well as adult endocrinology and nephrology, which were located at the University Physician Center, have moved to the new center.

Penn State Health announced on Friday that it has revised its patient visitation guidelines in response to the “decline in patients with COVID-19 across the health system.”
Updated guidelines take effect on Feb. 1 at the following locations: Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center, Penn State Health Holy Spirit Medical Center, and Penn State Health Medical Group locations.
Changes include:
adult inpatients, adult outpatient surgery patients, and adult outpatient procedure patients may have one family or support person per stay

Most use the trail for day hikes and short backpacking trips.
A few hardy souls put their bodies to the test and attempt the “Thru-Hike, ” hiking the entire trail from Georgia all the way to Maine.
But if you’re thinking about taking the 2200 mile trek, experts say you might want to wait until next year.

COVID-19 hospitalizations in Pennsylvania have fallen to 3,691 as of Thursday, continuing the downward trend from the peak of about 6,300 in December that threatened to overwhelm hospitals,
The state reported 198 new deaths, bringing its toll to 21,302 since the start of the pandemic about a year ago.
