Lebanon rallies past GHS 10-9
HENDERSONVILLE â Aly Dickerson s two-out, bases loaded walk brought home Jordan Bush from third in the bottom of the seventh to hand Lebanon a dramatic 10-9 win over Gallatin in Saturday s opening round of the District 9-AAA softball tournament at Drakes Creek Park.
The victory was the seventh in a row for Coach Jody Atwood s squad and sends the Lady Devils into a winner s bracket contest Monday at 5 p.m. against Beech, a 7-6 victor over Mt. Juliet in Saturday s other opener.
Trailing 9-4 in the bottom of the sixth, Lebanon scored three runs in each of the sixth and seventh innings.

It’s a Senior Day celebration that 18-year-old Breanna Sexton will never forget.
They honored four young ladies who are nearing the end of their high school softball career at Silverdale Baptist Academy on Saturday afternoon, but it was Sexton who might have the most positive memory after slugging the game-winning three-run homer in the bottom of the seventh inning to propel her team to victory.

It was do or die time for the Boyd Buchanan softball team Thursday afternoon and they decided it wasn’t time for their season to end.
Hosting the Lady Lions from King’s Academy, the Lady Bucs improved to 12-6 with the 10-2 victory.
King’s Academy ends its season at 18-14.
The Lady Bucs have some good hitters in their lineup, but they’ve gotten into this bad habit of waiting late in games to start producing at the plate. That was the case on Thursday as nine of their 10 runs scored in the final three innings.
Home runs, pitching carry Barbe to Class 5A state title over Airline

SULPHUR, La. (KPLC) - The third-seeded Barbe Lady Bucs only needed one inning worth of runs to down No. 5 Airline in the Class 5A championship game, 3-1. The title is Barbe’s fifth in program history.
Airline got the scoring started in the third with back-to-back hits including Paris Endris’ RBI single that gave the Vikings a 1-0 advantage. It was one of only six hits allowed by Barbe pitcher Halie Pappion. The junior allowed only one extra-base hit while striking out eight in seven innings.
