The Buttered Tin, which has become one of St. Paul s favorite breakfast spots since opening in Lowertown in 2013, is planning to open a new location in Minneapolis.
The restaurant and bakery owned by Alicia Hinze has announced Tuesday that it will open in late July in the Gateway Northeast Building at 2445 Northeast Marshall St., opposite Betty Danger s Animal Farm (more on that here).
In a press release, Hinze said the similarities between Lowertown and Northeast Minneapolis – both home to large, vibrant artist communities – were a factor in the site selection.
