The Valley Artisans’ Co-op in Deep River welcomes photographer Anne Jarcew to its membership.
Retired after 40 years as an intensive care unit, coronary care unit and emergency room nurse, Anne has only recently moved to the area from Toronto with her husband Daniel and their three dogs. They now live in Petawawa and have been enjoying the natural beauty of the area.

A life-long photographer, Anne’s current interest is nature. Among other things, she has found inspiration in the spring runoff in Algonquin Park, the tumultuous Petawawa River and Pembroke’s Waterfront Park. She describes her work as “pure spontaneity”, and captures images using a Canon PowerShot or an iPhone XR. She then edits the photos and transfers them to canvas, acrylic or glossy paper.
