Bengaluru colleges gear up to reopen from Monday | Bengaluru News

Image used for representational purpose BENGALURU: With the government allowing colleges to reopen from Monday (July 26), managements are gearing up to welcome students on campus. Only students who have received at least one dose of the Covid-19 vaccine will be allowed on campus. Bengaluru City University has planned a ‘welcome back to campus’ programme on Monday at the vice chancellor’s office. “The campus will return to life after a long time,” said Lingaraju Gandhi, VC, BCU. “We plan to welcome students with a rose, mask and sanitiser to motivate them to attend classes on campus and to create awareness and senitise them about Covid-19 protocols. Except for students from other states, we hope all other students will attend. Colleges have reported that 75% of their students have been vaccinated.” The campus was sanitised on Friday.

2,239 students score full marks in II-year PU

SSLC, I-year PU and II-year performance Around 2,239 students have secured 100 per cent marks in the II-year PU exams for which, the results were declared on Tuesday. The PU results marks many firsts. This is the first time in the history of the PU Department that the results were declared without conducting the exams. This is also the first time that so many students have secured 600 out of 600 marks in the exams. Primary and Secondary Education Minister S Suresh Kumar told the media that 445 students from Dakshina Kannada, 302 from Bengaluru South, 261 from Bengaluru North, 149 from Udupi and 104 from Hassan have secured 100 per cent marks.
