SAN ANTONIO – Two brothers who led Bexar County deputies on a manhunt that crossed into Mexico were indicted earlier this week in connection with the shooting of a Balcones Heights police officer, according to the Bexar County District Attorney’s Office.
A grand jury agreed to charge Sijifredo and Wilfredo Montemayor with attempted capital murder of a police officer. If convicted, the brothers face up to life in prison.
On Feb. 3, 2021, the brothers were allegedly burglarizing vehicles at the Sol Apartments in the 6900 block of Interstate 10.

SAN ANTONIO – Aspiring rapper Sasha Skare was indicted earlier this week on a murder charge, according to the Bexar County District Attorney’s Office.
Skare was charged in connection with the shooting death of Martell Derouen, a rapper known as Kardone who was found dead after police made a welfare check at his apartment inside The Towers in the 16700 block of La Cantera Parkway in January.

SAN ANTONIO – A grand jury has indicted a man who authorities say crashed his truck into the back of another vehicle, killing its female driver last fall.
Robert Collett Jr., 38, has been formally charged for intoxication manslaughter, the Bexar County District Attorney’s Office said Friday.
Police said on Nov. 20, Collett was driving a pickup truck on the northbound lanes of Highway 281 near Thousand Oaks when he crashed into the back of a white 1995 Honda Civic.

SAN ANTONIO – A grand jury on Tuesday indicted a Bexar County jailer who allegedly assaulted an inmate last year, according to the Bexar County District Attorney’s Office.
After a “thorough review” of the case, the grand jury charged detention officer Eduardo Sanchez with aggravated assault by a public servant and official oppression, according to the news release.
The alleged assault occurred on May 18, 2020. Prosecutors found evidence that indicated Sanchez struck Hector Lopez, an inmate, while he was on-duty.

SAN ANTONIO Tito Bradshaw’s father says the suspected drunk driver responsible for his son’s 2019 death needs to serve time behind bars. But their hope for a trial is fading.
He says a plea deal is in the works.
Harry Bradshaw spoke with KENS 5 about his son’s case. He says the family learned the defendant, Linda Collier Mason, may not serve any jail time. He says the plea deal for Mason is 10 years of probation.
