Woman, 32, locked in her body and unable to speak after sudden illness

Woman, 32, locked in her body and unable to speak after sudden illness Becky Kemp originally from Skelmersdale is now paralysed from the neck down and communicates with her eyes Updated A woman was left paralysed from the neck down after suffering from a stroke aged 32. When Becky Kemp was rushed to hospital on November 30, 2019, it was initially assumed that she was too young to have had a stroke. Becky, then 32, spent the following ten weeks in hospital receiving treatment, with her mum Ronnie, who is originally from Skelmersdale, dad John and brother Rich by her bedside. The family, who are now living in Gloucestershire, were faced with the terrifying reality that around 90 per cent of patients diagnosed with locked-in syndrome die within four months.
