Daisy’s son Casper has achondroplasia and was faced with the decision to be part of the vosoritide drug trial, which could change his expected height. An average two-year-old grows about six centimetres a year, while a child with achondroplasia grows about four centimetres a year. When bone growth stops in early adulthood, the result is a dramatic reduction in height and proportions.
