YOUNG superheroes are keeping the true spirit of Christmas alive after they learned traditional festive treats cannot be enjoyed this year. Pupils at St Peter’s Smithills Dean CE Primary have been been spreading some Christmas magic through acts of kindness, including putting together gift boxes for people in the community. Known to all as Be Safe Superheroes they have been leading the way in showing how to create happiness in the local community safely during the pandemic. The gift boxes included sweets, bird boxes, snow globes, decoration as well as activities, including jigsaws, embroidery kids and cake in a mug.
