Australiaâs 3x3 womenâs basketball team missed their flight to Europe for their Olympic qualifying tournament after Basketball Australia failed to secure them travel exemptions to leave the country.
The five-player squad was due to fly to Austria for its FIBA Olympic qualifying tournament from Melbourne Airport on Saturday at 11pm, but the players arrived to find they didnât have the exemptions needed to leave the country. Despite last-minute attempts, the players could not get them in time to fly out.

Laetitia Guapo (France): No. 1 ranked player in the world
To give you an impression of how much of a winner Guapo is, she has not finished lower than 3
rd place in a tournament since June of 2018. The number one player in the world rose to the top of the rankings after helping France win the FIBA 3x3 Europe Cup 2019. At the Women’s series that year, Guapo was a juggernaut for France, co-leading them in points per game (5.2), blocked shots (21), and 2-pointers made. Guapo can ball and 2021 is another chance to shine.

Screen Australia has announced over $730,000 of development funding for six feature films, 12 television dramas and three online projects.
The television projects include Foxtel jury drama
The Twelve, an adaptation from Bunya Productions of the 2018 film
Ladies In Black;
The Family Doctor, a television drama from Debra Oswald, co-creator of
Offspring.
There is also a project between Mark Fennessy and director Richard Lowenstein; plus director Nicholas Verso, Beck Cole and writer Mithila Gupta.
