Known for her pioneering spirit as a rule-breaker , Yoon Ahn of AMBUSH is known for injecting her minimalist aesthetics into any idea or design project be it her latest collaborative project with Bvlgari or coming up with ground-breaking, eye-catching shapes for Dior Homme s jewelry line. And as a big fan of partnerships and collaborative projects (her recent one with UNIQLO was a big hit), the Korean-American fashion designer is now back with a partnership that leans a little bit more on the boozy side of things.
Del Fuego is part of the Krewe of House Floats’ Audubon Riverside subkrewe.
Two more storefront floats have appeared along Magazine Street this week – at Del Fuego Taquería and McEnery Residential. One is part of the Krewe of House Floats subkrewe for the Audubon Riverside neighborhood, and the other joined up with the Krewe of Read Beans’ “Hire a Mardi Gras Artist” project.
Chef Dave Wright at Del Fuego Taquería summed up their decision to make a storefront float this way: “We’re all really going to miss the parades this year, so when the Krewe of House Floats was formed, we jumped on the idea of celebrating Mardi Gras in our neighborhood. Our ‘Krewe of House Margarita’ is where it’s at!”
This weekend, Eating House in Coral Gables celebrates its ninth anniversary with a limited-time menu, and Astra hosts a two-year celebration with music and cocktails. Plus, take part in Schnebly Redland s Winery s Wine Run 5K or Sunday brunch at Rosie’s at the Copper Door B&B.

Eating House Celebrates Turning Nine With a Special Menu
Beginning Friday, Eating House in Coral Gables will celebrate its nine-year anniversary with a special tasting menu available through March 5th. The dinner menu, which is meant to be shared ($49 per person), includes a selection of Eating House s best-selling dishes throughout the years. Highlights include frita fries with guava-bacon jam, frita sauce, and pickled onions; croquetas carbonara with arborio rice, black truffle, and applewood bacon; and dirt cup pancakes with Nutella, pretzel, Oreos, and salted caramel butter.
