Environment Portfolio Councillor Maria Suarez said further treatments were scheduled for the coming weeks. “The control activities are scientifically managed to target specific areas on public land where and when mozzie breeding is known to occur, such as in the Maroochy River catchment and Pumicestone Passage catchment,” she said. “The season starts in spring each year, as temperatures warm up and humidity increases, and runs through until April, when the cooler autumn temperatures take hold. “Each season we typically conduct around 12 treatments across approximately 1000 hectares.” Council does not spray for adult flying mosquitoes around private property. Marine industry identity behind Coast s new marina | Sunshine Coast Daily

What the marina at the Pelican Waters marine village will look like once completed. A concierge-style service will be offered where residents with boats in dry berths can call an hour ahead for their boat to be placed in the water by a forklift. An eight-metre boat isn t too big, but once that s on a trailer and you re reversing it down a boat ramp … I m sure that s caused a few divorces, Mr Binkin said. He said this would help residents store their boats too if they didn t have room at home. There will also be a full-service marina yard offering maintenance, detailing and repairs, as well as a shipwright, clients lounge and a cafe.
