These new series will be offered free on-demand to listeners across all platforms where podcasts may be found. Gideon Media s new podcast slate will kick off with two unnervingly prescient plays from celebrated playwright Wallace Shawn and director André Gregory. These productions will reunite the legendary duo behind My Dinner with André and Vanya On 42nd Street to reimagine two of Shawn s finest plays for the world of audio drama.

(Photo by Isiah Holmes) On Thursday, the 51st anniversary of the first annual Earth Day on April 22, 1970, Tia Nelson will be speaking to a classroom full of fourth graders in the school named after her father in the town of Clear Lake, Wisconsin. That’s where Earth Day founder, Wisconsin governor and U.S. Sen. Gaylord Nelson grew up.  “Helping kids find their voice and giving them a sense of agency,” says Nelson, “helping them understand that my dad was just a little boy from a little town and he grew up to make a really big difference — and they can, too — I figure at this point in my life that’s probably the most important job I’ve got.”

Soon! As the follow up to their critically lauded 2020 release  Double Deadbolt Logic, the album was written and recorded during quarantine. The LP’s first single, “We’ll Soon Be Together” premiered via Americana Highways who cheered, “you’ll be flooded with a sense of needed reassurance on this one, in a song of promise and hope.”  The band will play two local dates to celebrate the album’s release on May 22nd at Jamey s House of Music and May 23rd at Malelani Cafe. Americana for better urban living, Soon! tells stories of city people through the medium of acoustic-jamband music.
