Last month, IKEA shut down its Dunbei store in Taiwan. However, in replacement of the former 23-year-old store, the Swedish furniture retail company has officially opened its Neihu branch for a trial run.
Coinciding with the new store opening, IKEA has unveiled its new LOHAS menu featuring an array of meals, snacks and desserts. IKEA Taiwan launches a light LOHAS menu with new ice cream flavors to come in time for the summer season. The Neihu restaurant will feature a restaurant and a special gourmet station. This will serve items such as Roasted Duck breast in sauce with Cherries, Garlic Butter Mussels, White Shrimp Roasted Vegetable Noodles, and more.
The most notable items to join the selection are the cantaloupe and durian flavored ice creams. Specifically, there is the Durian Ball, the Durian Tower, Hami Melon Ice Cream, and Durian Ice Cream. Durian is a popular fruit in Asia, with its unique texture ad taste, creating a fun ice cream experience. The cantaloupe ice cream is a refreshing option with more mellow notes.
