Two more Bengal sweets likely to get Geographical Indication tag soon
After Rosogulla got the Geographical Indication (GI) tag in 2017, two more Bengal sweets Sarbhaja and Sarpuria are likely to get the GI status soon.

Amid the Covid-19 pandemic, there is some good news for the people of West Bengal with a sweet tooth. Four years after the state government applied for Geographical Indication (GI) status of Sarbhaja and Sarpuria, the wait might end soon when the two sweets found in Krishnanagar in Nadia district will get the GI tag like rosogolla.
