Slovenia Retail Sales Rise In December
The retail trade turnover rose 0.1 percent month-on-month in December.
Sales in specialized stores except motor fuels increased by 0.8 percent monthly in December and retail sales with automotive fuel rose by 0.5 percent.
Sales of food, beverages, tobacco grew 0.3 percent and those of non-food stores gained by 0.2 percent.
On an annual basis, the retail trade turnover fell 13.3 percent in December.
In 2020, retail trade turnover fell 9.7 percent compared to the previous year.

In November 2020, Euro 5.2 million of roundwood was purchased from private owners in Slovenia, which is about 87% more than in the previous month and about 56% more than a year ago.

Slovenia s roundwood purchased from private owners in October 2020 was worth Euro 2.8 million, which is about 16% less than in the previous month, as the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.
The value of purchased sawlogs and veneer logs was lower by almost 9%, of pulpwood by about 15%, of wood fuel by about 74% and of other industrial roundwood by about 2%. The value of roundwood purchased from private owners in October 2020 was about 48% lower than in October 2019. The value of purchased sawlogs and veneer logs was lower by about 50%, of pulpwood by almost 26%, of wood fuel by about 75% and of other industrial roundwood by almost 65%.
