Online records from the Florence County Detention Center show Keyon Cortez Jones was released Friday on a $60,000 surety bond. Jones is one of four people charged with murder and attempted murder in connection to an Oct. 4, 2019 shooting on Colonial Drive. Officials said 28-year-old Tirrell Williams was killed in the incident.

They said he had a warrant for his arrest on a first-degree domestic violence charge. He’s accused of hitting the victim in the face and attempting to choke her.

The situation stems from an incident dating back to 2016. According to a report, Kodak was in Florence for a show at the Treasure City nightclub. The “Roll In Peace” rapper was accused of sexually assaulting an 18-year-old girl. Prosecutors claim Kodak forced himself on the Jane Doe in a hotel room after a concert, allegedly raping her and biting her neck and right breast.” The alleged victim first told her school nurse, and then the school notified authorities.
