The annual Festival of Lights is now underway at Woodlawn Regional Park s Souris River campground. Nearly three dozen local businesses and organizations are participating this year, with festive, colourful and creative displays. Since the festival started Dec. 18, people have been dropping by each night to view the lights and other decorations. Photos by David Willberg 1/11

The province announced 22 more COVID-19-related deaths and 467 new cases of the virus over the weekend.
Of the dead, one was a woman in her 80s from Prairie Mountain Health who was linked to an outbreak at Grandview Personal Care Home.
Sixteen people were from Winnipeg, two were from both Northern and Southern Health-Santé Sud, and one was from Interlake-Eastern.
Of the weekend’s new cases, 33 were in Prairie Mountain Health.
Winnipeg reported 234 new cases, followed by 82 in Northern, 69 in Southern Health-Santé Sud and 49 in Interlake-Eastern.
There are currently 5,749 active cases, 16,541 people who have recovered from COVID-19 and 569 who have died.

Saturday saw nine more COVID-related deaths recorded in Manitoba alongside 238 new cases.
The dead range in age from their 50s to 90s. Six were from the Winnipeg health region and one each were from Interlake-Eastern, Northern and Southern Health-Santé Sud.
Of the 238 new cases, 104 were from Winnipeg, followed by 55 in Northern, 33 in Interlake-Eastern, 30 in Southern Health-Santé Sud and 16 in Prairie Mountain Health.
Of the 327 active cases in Prairie Mountain Health, 162 are in the Brandon district, followed by 82 in Porcupine Mountain,14 in Duck Mountain, 12 in Unknown District, 11 in Spruce Woods, nine in Little Saskatchewan, eight in both Asessippi and Riding Mountain, five in Agassiz Mountain, four in each Swan River, Dauphin and Souris River, three in Whitemud and two in Turtle Mountain.
