South County Notebook: May 3, 2021 Published: 5/2/2021 4:00:12 PM Whately to hold public meeting on Open Space and Recreation Plan WHATELY Town officials and the Franklin Regional Council of Governments (FRCOG) will hold a public forum on Tuesday to review the Open Space and Recreation Plan. Members of the public and regional stakeholders are welcome to attend the virtual meeting at 6 p.m., during which the draft Open Space and Recreation Plan will be presented for discussion. An Open Space and Recreation Plan contains conservation and recreation goals for the town; includes an inventory of cultural, natural and recreational resources; identifies open space and recreation needs; and outlines a seven-year action plan with specific recommendations, according to a FRCOG press release.
