Flags across Plymouth have been lowered to half-mast as a mark of respect following the passing of the Duke of Edinburgh.
Flags at Home Park, Royal William Yard and all council buildings are being flown at half-mast this afternoon after Buckingham Palace announced Prince Philip s passing.
Plymouth Argyle tweeted a message a short while ago, recognising the work of Prince Philip and passing on their thoughts to the Queen who after seven decades with her royal consort alongside her, now faces her future as a widow.
