Jayr Reyes hangs up jersey after 14 PBA seasons

Jayr Reyes has called it a career.
The veteran big man, who will be turning 37 in July, announced his retirement from the PBA on Saturday, May 15 after 14 seasons in the league highlighted by four championships. It has been a truly blessing to be able to devote more than half of my life to my first love, Reyes wrote on Instagram. Now, I am officially announcing my retirement from basketball.
A standout out of the University of the Philippines, Reyes reached the PBA in 2006 after being elevated by expansion franchise Welcoat – now Rain or Shine – from the amateur ranks.
