(AFRICAN EXAMINER) – Hosts Cameroon will face a tough hurdle against defending champions Morocco when they lock horns in the African Nations Championship (CHAN), semifinal on Wednesday at Limbe Omnisport Stadium.
Cameroon brushed aside two-time champions DR Congo 2-1 in the quarter-final, while Morocco humbled Zambia 3-1.
However, this semifinal presents yet another anticipated thriller as Morocco Coach, Houcine Ammouta, has made it clear that the Atlas Lions are well prepared for the semi-final clash.
“We are a good team ready to play good football and win. I know it will be a tough game because we are playing against the hosts who also have a good team,” he said.

Hosts Cameroon are confident they can stop the impressive run of title holders Morocco when the two sides clash at the African Nations Championship (CHAN) on Wednesday.Â
The Indomitable Lions will face the Atlas Lions in the semi-finals of the tournament at the Limbe Stadium with the home side seeking to make history by reaching the final of the tournament for the first time.
But they face an arduous task against the Moroccans who are the highest scoring side in the competition with nine goals and some top players at their disposal who have excelled so far in the tournament.

The other last four match will see Mali taking on Guinea in Douala on the same day.
All the countries to play in the last four of the tournament were known on Sunday night following the conclusion of the quarter-final matches.
The quarter-final matches saw the Atlas Lions securing their place when beating Zambia 3-1 at Reunification Stadium in Douala on Sunday.
The Moroccans progress to face Cameroon who secured a 2-1 comeback victory over two-time winner DR Congo at the Japoma Stadium in Douala on Saturday.
Mali progressed after they defeated Congo 5-4 in a penalty shooutout on Saturday as their clash ended in a 0-0 draw after extra time in Yaounde.
