Surge unabated with 3,073 new +ve cases ByVicky PathareVicky Pathare / Updated: Mar 14, 2021, 06:00 IST Pune city alone At least 3,073 fresh COVID cases have been reported in the district in the last 24 hours. The cumulative total of COVID cases in Pune district has risen to 4,34,601. This has taken the number of active COVID cases in Pune city to 10,723 and 20,318 in Pune district. Also, 16 people have died of COVID on Saturday. This has taken the district death toll to 9,388, said health officials. Some 1,431 COVID patients recovered in the district on Saturday. Of the fresh COVID cases, 1,633 are in PMC area, 811 in PCMC area, 477 in Pune rural and 152 in civil surgeon and cantonment board zones, said Dr Bhagwan Pawar, district health officer.
