Four components go into Grovemade s headphone stand. There is all-natural cork which is used as a pad for the bottom of the stand. Apple has become a big name in wireless headphones with AirPods, which are easily the most popular and recognizable earbuds worldwide. AirPods provide reliable connectivity and an all-around great wireless earbud experience, but the sound quality can t compete with a nice set of over-ear headphones. That s what the AirPods Max are about.
Apple s recently released AirPods Max are its first over-ear headphones. They feature 20 hours of battery with active noise cancellation and transparency, Bluetooth 5.0, and an incredibly premium build. All for an MSRP of $549. These are probably some of the best headphones on the market, but the price and availability do put them out of reach for most people. And like most Apple products, the AirPods Max work best if you re using them inside the Apple hardware ecosystem.

It was only last December that Apple launched the AirPods Max, the Apple version of a headphone that joined the roster of AirPods and AirPods Pro. However, according to MacRumors, a growing number of complaints have risen about the significant battery draining that happens in many AirPods Max users.

Different complaints arise, including how there s a significant battery drain while the headphones are in use as well as how the same is happening even when headphones should be in idle mode. One user in 9to5Mac complained a significant battery drain of 100% to 1% overnight. Many users online are complaining over a different range of problems for the battery drain issue with Airpods Max.

Right from Apple’s $3 billion purchase of Beats in 2014, the company, alongside increasingly less amused Beats executives, has had to put up with repeated questions on when it was going to release some proper, serious Apple headphones. Then the success of AirPods only fuelled speculation that an over-ear set of cans had to be coming.
Finally, all guessing ended in September last year as Jon Prosser leaked images of the then unannounced AirPods Max headphones. By the time Apple unveiled AirPods Max in December, the only thing remaining a genuine surprise was the price: an exceedingly punchy £549.

Apple sent out review units that same month, and many instantly proclaimed the AirPods Max a hit. But considering these are a full £200 more than the competitor Sony, B&W or Bose headphones, we wanted to be sure the Maxes were worth the extra outlay. So we’ve been using them for a whole month, and this is the final verdict.
