Main Street parklet touted as place to bring people together
Parklets are coming to the PNC Plaza in downtown Fort Wayne.
The public spaces known as parklets are designed to support downtown businesses and encourage community engagement, a Fort Wayne Downtown Improvement District news release stated.
The space will span a portion of the western edge of the PNC building parking lot on Main Street next to Sweets on Main. The area is traditionally where “Santa and His Reindeer” is displayed.
The area will include outdoor dining tables and chairs, a life-size chessboard, and a mural installation provided by Art This Way. The parklet, which will be open during summer and fall, is designed to connect access points throughout the city from The Landing and Promenade Park to Embassy Theatre and Parkview Field.

KUALA LUMPUR (March 3): Perusahaan Otomobil Kedua Sdn Bhd (Perodua) unveiled the Ativa in a virtual launch today.
The five-seater compact sports utility vehicle (SUV) retails for RM58,650 to RM74,000 (on-the-road price), and is available in three different variants (X, H and AV). Prices are dependent on the region of purchase and variant acquired.
This is Perodua’s second SUV after the Aruz, a seven-seater which was launched in 2019.
At a media preview and test drive for the new car last Tuesday, Perodua CEO Datuk Zainal Abidin Ahmad said the group is expecting 3,000 bookings a month for the Ativa.
He said the launch of the car had been three years in the making. He added that the Ativa will be its only new model for this year.
