Peddapalli Zilla Parishad Chairman Putta Madhu who was arrested by Telangana police on May 8th was released on Monday evening. He went to Manthani.
Task force police and a special investigation team from Hyderabad questioned the former MLA along with his brother Putta Satyanarayana and his friend Maddipati Srinivas Rao for many hours at the Ramagundam police commissionerate on Sunday.
Police quizzed Putta Madhu on his role in the murder of Vamana Rao and Nagamani that took place on February 17, 2021 at Kalvacherla in Ramagiri mandal.
Police questioned Madhu on why did he withdrew Rs 2 crore from a bank before the gruesome murder of Vamana Rao couple. The officials also questioned as what is the need for him to stay away from Manthani.

After the arrest of Putta Madhukar , Ramagundam police have issued notice to Putta Shailaja, his wife who is also the Manthani municipal chairperson, and called her for questioning at the Ramangundam police Commissionerate in connection to the advocate couple s murder case.
The murdered advocate Vamana Rao’s father G Kishan Rao has levelled several allegations against the Putta couple, not just over the death of his son and daughter-in-law, but also related to certain affairs related to the local temple committee issue, and illegal construction of buildings in Gunjapadugu village in Manthani mandal of Karimnagar district.
Meanwhile, Ramagundam police also sent letters to several banks seeking transaction details of 12 accounts belonging to Madhukar, his family members, Kamanpur market yard chairman P Satyanarayana, and the accused Kunta Srinivas and Bittu Seenu who were directly involved in the double murder case.

WEST GODAVARI: Missing Peddapalli Zilla Parishad (ZP) chairperson and TRS leader Putta Madhu was taken into custody at Bhimavaram in West Godavari district on Saturday. The TRS leader whose name figures in the Lawyer-couple murder case was said to have gone into hiding since April 30. Ramagundam Task Force police traced his whereabouts to Andhra Pradesh, have arrested the TRS leader and they are now shifting him to Hyderabad.
He is said to have gone into hiding after the noose was slowly tightening on him after the swift investigation into the murder case of the Advocate Couple Gattu Vaman Rao and his wife Nagamani.

Hyderabad, May 8 : Telangana police on Saturday arrested Peddapalli Zilla Parishad chairman Putta Madhu, whose name had figured in the murder of a lawyer couple and was missing for nearly a week.
The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leader was picked up by Ramagundam town police in Bhimavaram in Andhra Pradesh. He was being brought to Ramagundam.
The development also assumes significance as he is said to be a follower of Eatala Rajender who was dropped from state cabinet by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao early this week over allegations of encroaching farmers land.
