With the opening of New Realm Distillery, a three-story brick building that features a brewery, distillery, restaurant and tasting room, Savannah’s budding craft liquor and beer industry is hoping this may signal the beginnings of the city’s identity as a prime distillery locale.
New Realm marks Savannah’s second brick-and-mortar distillery. Ghost Coast, the city’s first since prohibition, opened in January 2017. Savannah Bourbon, while it distributes heavily in Savannah and across the state of Georgia, operates out of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

The opening will create approximately 100 jobs.
The brewery will be located at 880 Island Park Drive, the space currently occupied by Dockery’s. The establishment will be rebranded as New Realm in May and will feature the company’s handcrafted lineup of beers, with some limited releases that will only be available on Daniel Island.
The craft brewery and distillery began operations in 2016 and in 2018 New Realm Brewing opened its Atlanta brewery and restaurant. Co-founder and CEO Carey Falcone said he’s been asked by South Carolinians when New Realm beers would be available in the state.
