Cars pass by the Exit 3 overpass on Interstate 87 in the town of Colonie, just north of Albany, on Dec. 15. The site is supposed to have murals depicting Native American history but the state has not yet installed them.

Cuomo had the vintage car restored two years earlier so he could drive it to mark special occasions. And this, by the governor’s estimation, was a special occasion: The opening of Exit 3 on Interstate 87 near Albany, a project that suffered through decades of fits and starts before he took office.

This one is personal to me, the governor said that day.
Cuomo held three separate events last year to mark the progress of Exit 3, a new highway ramp and overpass that grants drivers easy access to Albany International Airport. He touted it as a metaphor for governmental and economic progress.

GLENS FALLS- The Hyde Collection will be temporarily closed to the public from Jan. 4 through May 1, 2021, due to the rise in coronavirus cases.
“Our first and most pressing priority always is to protect our staff and visitors,” said Hyde Chief Executive Officer Norman E. Dascher, Jr. in a statement.
During the winter, the Hyde will undergo maintenance projects and its offices will remain open, though with reduced hours and staffing. Four employees will be furloughed and the remaining eight will work on limited schedules.
The Hyde is one of many national and local art institutions that have closed recently because of the pandemic. Schenectady’s miSci announced that it was closing temporarily earlier this month; the New York State Museum, State Library and State Archives are temporarily closed as is the National Museum of Dance in Saratoga Springs.
