Walk-in Vaccination Appointments Available in New Milford
New Milford Mayor Pete Bass has informed the community via an online announcement that the town clinic will be accepting walk-in vaccination appointments this week at the town clinic.
The Newstimes has reported that walk-in vaccine hours are today (Wednesday) at the clinic at the John Pettibone Community Center from 5 to 7 PM and this Saturday from 7:30 AM to 12 PM.

There is a possibility that town officials will continue the vaccine clinics through the end of May, but that has not been officially confirmed. To register for the COVID-19 Vaccine Will-Call, click cognitoforms.com.
New Milford Residents Could See Tax Cuts For Second Year in a Row
There s one thing you can always count on in life and that s taxes. But if you re a New Milford resident, this could be the second year in a row that you luck out.
The town budget proposal for the 2022 fiscal year was recently announced by New Milford Mayor Pete Bass, and once again this year he s looking to reduce taxes by 2.47%. If passed, it would be historic and the first time in over three decades that the town cut taxes in consecutive years.

I d like to believe that the Mayors in the Greater Danbury area hangout together, meet in secret and maybe even have a bowling team. We asked New Milford Mayor Pete Bass if the mayors bowl together or have secret Illuminati style meetings.
Bass responded: We don t have one secretly but we do have a thing called WESTCCOG. So what that is, is the Western Council of Governments. So, that s why they have the abbreviation of WESTCCOG. So, that s First Selectman and Mayors from Sherman, New Milford, all the way down to Greenwich. We have meetings and talk about transportation issues, we talk about issues, social issues effecting and you can go to westcog.org and you can see all the information that is provided there. And, we do get a chance to talk but not so much as you know, in a back room. It s more open and more transparent so the public can see what we are doing.
