28 popular TV shows you probably didn’t know were filmed on Staten Island

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. Staten Island has seen its share of the small screen over the years even if you didn’t always know it.
Many TV and streaming shows have used the borough as a backdrop. While some have referenced Staten Island, others have transformed the Island into unrecognizable spots.
All that said, here are 28 shows you may not know were filmed on Staten Island.
Around 2008, The CW’s
“Gossip Girl” took over the St. George Theatre and a major part of Hyatt Street for filming purposes. According to those who recall the shoot, production crew spent two days taking down the theater’s elaborate Christmas tree and other holiday decorations in December 2008.

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. Transportation Alternatives hosted a rally on Saturday afternoon at the frenetic intersection of Hylan Boulevard and Bay Street in Rosebank to drive home the point that a reduction is needed in the speed limit on the street dubbed the “Boulevard of Death.”

Not a footstep. Not a breath. Not a word.
Belloni, then 63 years old and weighing only 90 pounds, was pulling her shopping cart along busy New Dorp Lane on Oct. 8, 2018, when everything suddenly went dark.
“It was almost like an earthquake,” Belloni said Thursday in her first public comments on the shocking episode. “I blacked out after that.”
Belloni didn’t regain consciousness until waking up sometime later in the emergency room.
