Further three men charged after investigation into supply of prohibited drugs – Raptor Squad
A further three men have been charged by Raptor Squad following an investigation into the sale and supply of prohibited drugs.
In September 2020, investigators attached to the State Crime Command’s Raptor Squad, with the assistance of the New South Wales Crime Commission (NSWCC), established Strike Force Warabin to investigate the distribution of commercial drugs by a criminal network across New South Wales and interstate.
In February 2021, investigators seized 127kg cannabis in a truck at a heavy vehicle stop in Moss Vale. The male driver, aged 25, was arrested and taken to Goulburn Police Station where he was charged. The man remains before the courts.

Cocaine filled vessel seized off NSW coast, one man arrested
A 27-year-old South Australian man is expected to appear in Sydney Central Local Court today following the seizure of approximately 200 kilograms of cocaine allegedly located on board a vessel off the New South Wales coast.
Australian Federal Police obtained intelligence at the weekend in relation to a cargo vessel allegedly containing a large quantity of cocaine bound for Australia.
The AFP established Operation Poitiers with the New South Wales Police Force, Australian Border Force, New South Wales Crime Commission and the Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission on Saturday, 6 March 2021.
Australian advisory creates global RG and AML accreditation

Australian gambling law, regulatory, and compliance advisory Senet has released a global compliance accreditation on gambling-related harm and money laundering for gaming operators.
Known as Senet Assure and Senet Assure Premium, the accreditations aim to protect gaming organisations and venues, their customers and communities, the advisory said.
As well as safeguarding corporate reputation and minimising the risks of gambling harm and financial crime, achieving accreditation would demonstrate an organisation’s commitment to responsible gambling culture, said Paul Newson, regulatory and gambling specialist at Senet.
Newson said the certification would only be awarded to operators who could demonstrate the highest level of vigilance.
The price of cocaine has skyrocketed 50 per cent in Australia since the onset of the Covid pandemic, racking up a price of over $450 a gram.
An annual report from the New South Wales Crime Commission found the cost of importing the drug has soared to a staggering wholesale price of $200,000 a kilo, with border closures hindering international drug-smuggling operations and driving the price higher.
Australia and New Zealand have long been seen as a fertile market for cocaine profits, with residents willing to pay more exuberant prices than anywhere in the world for cocaine.
Last year in Australia organised crime groups such as outlaw motorcycle gangs, and drug syndicates from Asia and the Middle Eastern, where paying about $125,000 a kilo, which translates to about $300 a gram on the street.
