Everything we know about Disneyland’s reopening, from ticket prices to new rides Chron 8 hrs ago Julie Tremaine
It has been a long year since Disneyland closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Since the March 2020 closure, the park has reopened small portions like the Downtown Disney shopping district, and it is currently hosting A Touch of Disney food festival inside Disney California Adventure, a food event that lets people in the park but not onto the rides. And bowing down to the realities of the pandemic, its parking lots have served as a mass vaccination site.
Now, as the theme park prepares for its reopening on April 30, anticipation is growing every day and information is changing as the park releases more details on how the reopening will actually work. Because Orange County is now in the orange tier in California s coronavirus reopening plan, even more will be available at the theme park than originally expected. Here s what we know so far:

Few attractions at Disneyland are as iconic as the Haunted Mansion. While the New Orleans Square location wasn t there when Disneyland opened, it was part of the park s first major expansion, and the Mansion is a favorite attraction of many, including us here at CinemaBlend. 2020 was going to be a year where we didn t see much of the Mansion even before the park itself had to close, as it went down for a major refurbishment at the beginning of the year. When Disneyland Resort reopens April 30, guests will see a literal fresh coat of paint on the over 50-year-old ride, as well as numerous updates and additions inside the ride as well.
When Disneyland announced its April 30 reopening last month, it promised some "new magic" coming to the Haunted Mansion. Today, the park revealed just what that new magic will be.

As its reopening approaches on April 30, details about how to get Disneyland tickets and how to make theme park reservations are slowly starting to come together. We now know when park tickets will go on sale, and what rides will and won’t be operational on opening day. And now that Orange County has moved to the orange tier and California Gov. Gavin Newsom has announced when the tier system could be ending altogether we know a lot more about what Disneyland’s reopening will look like. In short: In some ways there will be more than expected (but given that the Matterhorn will be closed, in some ways, less).
