Driver fled after crash in Watford involving three cars

A driver who crashed into a parked car and fled in Watford has been ordered to pay hundreds of pounds. Lacey Gibson had been driving her Ford Fiesta in Newhouse Crescent when she collided with a stationary car, which then hit another vehicle beside it. The 21-year-old from Watford then fled before later being tracked down by police. She appeared at St Albans Magistrates’ Court on Friday, May 14, where she pleaded guilty to failing to stop after a road accident. The court heard how officers were called to Newhouse Crescent on November 14 last year following reports of a crash. On arrival, police found three vehicles had been involved, including the Ford Fiesta belonging to Gibson, a Hyundai and a Kia.

Police make arrest after stabbing in The Brow, Watford

Police have made an arrest following a stabbing in a shopping parade in Watford. An 18-year-old was taken to hospital after being found with a stab wound in The Brow on the afternoon of Tuesday, April 27. His injuries are not thought to be life threatening or life changing. Hertfordshire Constabulary says an 18-year-old man from Watford has been arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning grievous bodily harm following the incident. He is currently in police custody. Detective Sergeant Helen Dickson said: “We understand that this incident will have caused concern in the community but we hope news of the arrest will assure residents.
